Q: Is Cookies and Dreams an allergy free kitchen?
A: No we are not an allergy free environment. The items that are used the cookies are only used for vegan baking. We do our best to reduce any cross contamination especially for gluten free items. All equipment is cleaned between batches to reduce any contamination.
Q: What is the shelf life of these cookies?
A: The cookies are able to stay room fresh on the counter in an airtight container for about 2 to 3 days. If you plan to serve them later than 3 three days you can refrigerate the cookies for up to a week and they also freeze well and can remain fresh in the freezer for up to 3 weeks.
Q: What is meant by small batch baking?
A: Small batch baking means making reduced size recipes which is a way to control the flavor profiles and to ensure the quality of each cookie.
Q: What is vegan baking?
A: Vegan baking means that no animal products are used in the making of any cookies labeled vegan. This means no diary butter, eggs, or milk chocolate is used in our vegan cookies. We use flax seed, club soda, vegan butter, and dark/diary free chocolate.
